Valley Youth House - Greater Philadelphia
Valley Youth House programs in our community have helped over 2,500 young adults to succeed in their transition from adolescence to adulthood in the past eight years. Our dedicated staff members assist homeless youth to find apartments, sign leases and develop self-sufficiency skills to maintain permanent housing on their own. Over 400 young adults moved into their own apartments since the residential programs started in 2005. Additionally, the Achieving Independence Center, which is managed by Valley Youth House, provides independent living services to approximately 1,400 young people each year.
We have accomplished this by:
- Creating unique programming that meets the needs of Philadelphia youth
- Developing an alumni group and managing a Youth Advisory Board to gain valuable customer feedback
- Partnering with multiple agencies, systems and businesses in an effort to maximize our resources
- Dedicating ourselves to excellence
